NDIS plans aren't set-and-forget — they're reviewed periodically to make sure your supports still match your goals. Here's what that actually involves.

How often does a review happen?

Most plans run for around 12 months, though some are set for longer. Your plan will usually be reviewed before it expires, but you (or your Support Coordinator, family member, or provider) can also request an earlier review if your circumstances change significantly — for example, a change in your health, living situation, or goals.

What happens at a review?

A review looks at how you've been progressing against your goals, whether your current supports are still the right fit, and whether your budget needs adjusting. It's also a chance to add new goals or supports if your needs have changed.

How can I prepare?

  • Collect progress reports: ask your providers (including us, if we support you) for a written summary of progress against your goals.
  • Think about what's changed: new challenges, new goals, or supports that aren't working as well as expected.
  • List any new goals: reviews are a good opportunity to add supports you didn't think to include the first time around.
